South Africa continues to face alarming levels of violence against women and children. Global Iconics is declaring a cultural World War against Gender-Based Violence, Femicide and Homicide. Not a war of weapons, but a war of awareness, accountability, education and unified action. A war fought through music, culture, policy alignment and strategic partnerships. “A GBVF World War Stage” represents our commitment to transforming every performance into a platform for advocacy and every audience into agents of change. This theme responds directly to the urgency of the crisis by taking the fight beyond conversations and into visible, national and global mobilisation.
Our 2026 programme aligns with South Africa’s National Strategic Plan on GBVF (2020–2030) and supports its pillars through cultural activation and public-private partnerships. Our focus areas include:
It means using a global stage to send a clear message: Gender-Base Violence, Femicide and Homicide have no place in our homes, our communities, our country, and the World. Through iconic international collaborations, national campaigns and strategic activations, Global Iconics will amplify the voices on GBVFH campaigns, promote accountability, and inspire a new generation to choose respect over violence.
This is not just a theme. It is a national cultural mobilisation. A GBVF World War Stage, through unity, leadership and collective courage can dismantle the culture of violence and build a safer, more accountable society for women, children and future generations.
